As I mentioned in the previous photo, male Carib Grackles vary in their songs from island to island. Well, female Carib Grackles vary in their appearance, too. Here the full range is shown: a Guadeloupe female (left), a St. Vincent female (middle), and a Barbados female (right). Interestingly, male song types correlate with changes in female pluamage, suggesting that perhaps more than one species of Carib Grackle could be recognized. Yikes!
