Another rare "species" of dry forests is the St. Lucia subspecies of the House Wren. It is restricted to dry forests, sharing the habitat with the White-breasted Thrasher, although the wren may be even more range restricted. The greatest diversity of morphology in the widespread House Wren species is found in the Lesser Antilles. Differences in song and habitat as well as results of playback experiments we have performed make it clear that these forms should be separated from the House Wren and from each other.
