Finfoots are tricky birds! All three members of the family Heliornithidae, including this African Finfoot, move around in search of optimal (often ephemeral) wetland habitat, such as this mangrove swamp in Ghana. When a finfoot appears, participants often gasp (as guides breathe an audible sigh of relief). Gregg Recer snapped this image.
